What do college students do in this program?
Study CIS within a larger context
Applications-based CORE and Intro courses (CIS 1.5 and 15) show the relevance of Computer and Information Science in bioinformatics, business, law, multimedia, and robotics.
Community Computing Consultancy
Students work with local businesses, schools, families and friends to design and implement solutions to computer-based problems.
CIS Research
Undergrads join faculty labs, participating in cutting-edge computer science research, starting early in their careers.
Robotics Outreach
Students work with teachers in local schools to help bring educational robotics into classrooms at the late elementary, middle and early high school levels.
Student Ambassadors
BC students act as mentors high school Bridges students to show the way, from high school to college.
Mentoring
All Bridges students receive continuous social and academic mentoring, where role models are provided at all stages of the program. Our monthly Tea with the Professors gives students a chance to informally discuss issues important to them.
